are pleased to announce the first of a series of
Professional Development Workshops
for
Elementary School Teachers

“Classroom Stages”

This day-long workshop is designed to help the elementary school teacher achieve the Ministry of Education curriculum expectations in Drama and Dance by giving them strategies and techniques for integrating the objectives into their daily lesson plans.

The first workshop, designed for Grades 1 through 4, will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, starting at 9:30am at Theatre Ontario's office, Suite 210, 215 Spadina Avenue in Toronto.

Written and facilitated by Kim Snider, secretary of CODE and on staff of Rosedale Heights School of the Arts.

The course is designed for the new and experienced teacher alike, and the content will focus on the book The Name Jar, and will be practical, hands-on, realistic and low-tech.

Cost: $50.00 per participant (estimated) maximum 20 per workshop. Lunch included.
