Canadian Actors' Equity Association produces a periodic electronic mailing called eDrive. Audition PostingsTheatre Ontario's Notice Binders are open for anyone to view at our Toronto office. The Notice binders list auditions, jobs, classes, workshops, volunteering opportunities and current shows. To keep current, drop by about once a week. Theatres, individuals, producers, studios and professional companies throughout the province regularly send material to be posted when they are looking for special skills, publicizing auditions and new jobs and want to get the word out. Theatre Ontario's Resource Library also contains practical manuals, listings, workbooks and books on marketing, fundraising, Board development, accessing grants and application forms, producing a show from scratch, incorporating a company, and theatre magazines. Check out Recommended Reading for a list of Canadian monologues you can use at your audition. The Metro Toronto Reference Library (789 Yonge Street near Bloor and Yonge) hosts a special collection of books on the performing arts. Located on the fifth floor of the library, theatre resources include: books, audition resources, monologue books, scores, CDs and LPs, archival collections, CD-ROMs, links to web sites, videos, periodicals, clippings, posters, photographs, and programs. There is also a wide selection of monologues, scenes, and songbooks available in the Performing Arts Annex.
